All Honour to God

The Apostolic Creed
We believe in God the Father Almighty, Creator of Heaven and Earth.
We believe in Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God the Father our Lord and Saviour, who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered on the Cross by Crucifixion , died and buried, descended into Hades, on the third day arose, taught His disciples for 40 days of the mysteries of the kingdom of God, ascended up and into Heaven, and as the High Priest sitteth at the right hand of God the Almighty, from thence He will come again to take the Members of the Elect unto Himself and on the last Judgement Day to judge the Quick and the Dead.
We believe in the Holy Ghost, the Holy Universal Apostolic Church, the Communion with the Saints, forgiveness of Sins and the Resurrection to life everlasting (eternal).
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Head of His Church, which He rules and sustains through the Holy Spirit and to which He sent and continues to send His Apostles.
The prayer of the Apostolic Church is thus to bring all to the Grace of Jesus Christ, to reconcile a people again to God, and to be led in Childlike faith by the Holy Ghost to be prepared as a bride at His return in power and glory which is near at hand.

History in English

The Unity Apostles Church of New Zealand-Te Whare Karakia o nga Apotoro Kotahitanga, is the New Zealand branch of the United Apostolic Church and the “World-wide Unity of the Apostles of Apostolic Churches.” It has its roots in the “Catholic Apostolic Church” of the early 19th century in Scotland and England and is under the care of Apostle Cliff Flor from the Apostolic Church of Queensland (Northern District).
It was established in 2008 in Aotearoa-New Zealand.  It was as a consequence when  members from the Old Apostolic Church of Africa that emigrated to Aotearoa New Zealand and who established the Hamilton Community of the New Zealand branch of the Old Apostolic Church in 2002,  could not be accommodated by the Old Apostolic Church of New Zealand, due to doctrinal, theological and magisterial differences. This led these members to approach the Apostolic Church of Queensland for Apostolic care.
The feeling of these members was that as Apostle H.F. Niemeyer from the Apostolic Church of Queensland initially sent Evangelist (later Apostle) C.G. Klibbe to Africa in 1889 to bring the message of the re-established Apostle ministry there, that there was a historical connection between the Churches that warranted a closer relationship.
The Apostolic Church of Queensland was instrumental in the establishment of the Apostolic faith on the Southern African continent. The Old Apostolic Church of Africa (OAC-Africa), was established through the missionary work and zeal of the Apostolic Church of Queensland under the care of Apostle H.F. Niemeyer in the late 1800s, through the sending of Evangelist Carl George Klibbe to South Africa.
When OAC members emigrate to Australia and New Zealand, they often make contact with the Apostolic Church of Queensland and the Unity Apostles Church of New Zealand.  It was therefore considered a logical conclusion that members from the Old Apostolic Church of Africa who  emigrated to New Zealand in the first decade of 2000, who could not be accommodated by the emergence of the Old Apostolic Church International’s New Zealand branch (OAC-NZ), considered re-establishing the relationship with the Apostles and communities of the Apostolic Church of Queensland as the founding community of Apostolic believers of the re-established Apostolic ministry in the Southern Hemisphere since the 1880s.
Brother Theo and Sister Lynnro van der Nest, in due course visited the Apostolic Church of Queensland in 2008 on the invitation of Evangelist John Weder and also attended its 125th celebration at Hattonvale in Queensland.
In late 2008, the van der Nest family decided to approach Apostle Cliff Flor for Apostolic care.  Apostle Flor consented to receive the families as part of the Apostleship of Northern Queensland, which has been entrusted to his care. Several other OAC members from the OAC Hamilton community followed which led to the celebration of Divine Services at the homes of members.
In 2010, the Apostolic Church of Queensland was formally registered in Aotearoa-New Zealand under the name, “The Unity Apostles Church of New Zealand” and is currently part of the Apostleship of Apostle Cliff Flor from the Apostolic Church in Queensland (Northern District).  The term “Unity Apostles” was synonymous with the international Apostolic Church movement of the late 1800’s (McGrath, 2010).
The Apostles Unity Church of New Zealand (UACNZ) is therefore the Aotearoa New Zealand branch of the United Apostolic Churches and the Worldwide Unity of Apostles of Apostolic Churches.
As a traditional Apostolic Christian Church, it has regular contact with its sister Churches as part of the Worldwide Unity of Apostles of Apostolic Churches. Through continued prayer, the Apostolic Church works and prays together with all Christians to bring all to the Grace of Jesus Christ, to reconcile a people again to God, and to be led in Childlike faith by the Holy Ghost to be prepared as a bride at His return in power and glory, which is near at hand.

History in Afrikaans

The Church in 2017

This Apostolic congregation, in keeping with its Apostolic teaching, heritage and tradition, continue to give testimony that the resurrection of Jesus Christ was the work of Apostles at the beginning of the Christian dispensation.  By devout and fervent prayer, the Unity Apostles Church New Zealand maintains this Apostle Ministry and believe steadfastly in those Apostles, who as the ambassadors of Jesus Christ, guide the Church by the power of the Holy Ghost to fulfill Gods plan for the Christian Church.
The Church maintains the three traditional Apostolic Holy sacraments of Holy Baptism, Holy Communion (Eucharist-Avondmaal) and Holy Sealing.

Liturgical Order of  Divine Service

The officers and members of the Unity Apostles Church of New Zealand, sister Church to Apostolic Church of Queensland and all its sister churches join together to bid you a hearty welcome to join with us in Divine Service, and we do hope you will take with you the Lord's Blessings.
This guide is presented to help follow the service.

Bread of Heav’n on Thee we feed,
For Thy flesh is meat indeed:
Ever may our souls be fed
With this true and living Bread;
Day by day with strength supplied,
Through the life of Him Who died.

Vine of Heav’n, Thy blood supplies
This blest cup of sacrifice,
Lord, Thy wounds our healing give,
To Thy cross we look and live:
Jesus, may we ever be
Grafted, rooted, built in Thee. Amen

THE TENETS AND FAITH OF THE APOSTOLIC CHURCH
These Tenets and Faith are founded on the Apostle Creed and the word of God given in the Holy Bible.
In confessing our beliefs in this manner, it must be understood that we believe that there is only one God, the living and true God who is made up of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost, and these three are one God, to All Eternity.  This is known as the doctrine of the Holy Trinity God.
1.—We believe in God the Father Almighty, Creator of Heaven and Earth.

2.— We believe in Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God the Father our Lord and Saviour, who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered on the Cross by Crucifixion, died and buried, descended into Hades, on the third day He arose, taught His Disciples for 40 days of the mysteries of the Kingdom of God, ascended up and into Heaven, and as the High Priest sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty, from thence He will come again to take the Members of the Elect unto Himself, and on the last Judgment Day to judge the Quick and the Dead.

3.—We believe in the Holy Ghost, the Universal Holy Apostolic Church, the Communion with the Saints, forgiveness and remission of sins, and the Resurrection to life everlasting (eternal).

4.—We believe that Jesus Christ is the Head of His Church, which He rules and sustains through The Holy Spirit and to which He sent and continues to send His Apostles.

5.—We believe in the Apostle as teacher, helper, intercessor and the ambassador of our Lord Jesus Christ.

6.—We believe in the Holy Scriptures, of the Old and New Testaments, with all promises contained therein from beginning to end.

7.—We believe in Holy Baptism with water, whereby we belong to Jesus Christ.

8.—We believe in the Holy Body and Blood of Jesus Christ, as it is by this Sacrament, that the Father and Son, through the Holy Ghost, lives within us.

9.—We believe that through the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ, our soul is clothed in His righteousness and prepared for His Bride, and becomes a vessel for the Holy Ghost, through which the Father in Heaven makes the internal being alike unto His Son.

10.—We believe in the Sealing, through which we receive the anointing of the Holy Spirit, by laying on of the hands of the Apostle to activate the Gifts of the Holy Ghost within us.

11.—We believe that the Holy Ghost gives us all our teaching from Heaven, according to the words and promises of our Lord Jesus Christ through the Apostle Office sent into the world for this purpose.

12.—We believe that we live in the last day of God (a thousand years is as one day before God) and that the day of the return of our Lord Jesus is approaching, when He will take His Bride from those that slumber in death and the living as the first resurrection.

13.—We believe in the uniting in Heaven with Christ and then on earth, the cleansing time will occur.

14.—We believe in the reign of peace of a thousand years on Earth as the seventh day of God, after which the last judgment will follow.

15.—We believe in God the Father as the Creator, in the Son of God as the High Priest who intercedes for us, and in the Holy Ghost in the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ, as the Teacher speaking to us, in the Holy Apostolic Church.
